When one of your employees leaves your company, you may have already removed their CiraSync license<\/a>. However, they still have access to the Contacts and Calendar events pushed by CiraSync to their smartphones. This guide shows the two ways to clean up Contacts and Calendar items from former users.<\/p>\n

WARNING: <\/strong>Contact and Calendar items will be deleted from both the User Mailbox and their smartphone devices. Please use with caution.<\/div><\/div>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span>Instructions<\/span><\/h2>\n

<\/span>Cleaning up Contacts and Calendar Items from the Dashboard<\/span><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Log in to the CiraSync Dashboard.<\/li>\n
  2. Scroll to the Mailboxes\u00a0<\/strong>pane.<\/li>\n
  3. Find the user you would like to perform the clean up on.<\/li>\n
  4. Right-click the user under the NAME <\/strong>column of the Mailboxes <\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Click either Cleanup Contacts <\/strong>or Cleanup Calendar. <\/strong>It will only take a few seconds for CiraSync to delete these Contact and Calendar items from user mailboxes. (See figure below.) \"Run<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/span>Cleaning up Contact Folders with a Folder Purge<\/span><\/h3>\n
    \n\t\t\t\t\t
    NOTE: <\/strong>Performing a folder purge is another way to clean up Contact items from CiraSync users. A folder purge can target from a single user up to the whole tenant.<\/div><\/div>\n
      \n
    1. Log in to the CiraSync Dashboard.<\/li>\n
    2. Click the username in the top-right corner of the Dashboard.<\/li>\n
    3. Click\u00a0SETTINGS.<\/strong> (See figure below.) \"Go<\/li>\n
    4. Click Folder Purge. <\/strong><\/li>\n
    5. Click EDIT<\/strong> next to Select Users. <\/strong>(See figure below.) \"OpenA new window listing all users and Contact Collections will appear. (See figure below.) \"Select<\/li>\n
    6. Choose the user or Contact Collection you would like to purge from.<\/li>\n
    7. Click OK.<\/strong> The window will close.<\/li>\n
    8. Enter the exact name of the subfolder you would like to purge under Sub-folder to purge.<\/strong>
      \n\t\t\t\t\t
      NOTE: <\/strong>This name is case sensitive.<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n
    9. Check the box next to Remove subfolder after purge. <\/strong>
      \n\t\t\t\t\t
      NOTE<\/strong>: You cannot delete the default Contacts folder from a mailbox. If the default Contact folder was the target for your sync tasks, do not check the Remove subfolder after purge<\/strong> when performing the Folder Purge.<\/div><\/div><\/li>\n
    10. Users can add private Contacts into the subfolder, and CiraSync can leave these private Contacts in the subfolder if Ignore User created Contacts<\/strong> is enabled.<\/li>\n
    11. Click RUN FOLDER PURGE. <\/strong>(See figure below.)\"Folder<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
