Keeping contacts up-to-date in both Salesforce and Microsoft 365 can be a difficult task. But the real pain is the way changes are made. Any contact changes made in either system must also be manually updated in the other system for them to remain synchronized.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, there is a way to two-way sync contacts<\/a> between Salesforce and an Microsoft 365 public folder \u2013 allowing you to keep your contact information up-to-date with minimal effort. This is the same solution thousands of people have been using recently.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Two-Way Sync Contacts Between Salesforce and an Microsoft 365 Public Folder<\/span><\/h3>\n

Sadly, neither Salesforce nor Microsoft 365 public folders allow two-way sync with each other. That’s the bad news. But the good news is that it’s now possible to two-way sync Salesforce and Microsoft 365 public folder contacts. For this, we need to use a tool called CiraHub.<\/p>\n

CiraHub is a multi-way sync tool that syncs contacts between popular CRMs like Zoho, Salesforce, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Pipedrive, and more. You can also sync Exchange Server Mailboxes and SharePoint.<\/p>\n

So, here are the steps.<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0First, Log in to CiraHub. You will be taken to the onboarding wizard. (See figure below.) Next, select the object you want to sync. In this example, the contacts object has been selected.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"Calendar<\/li>\n
  2. Next start the Hub and spoke setup. Click on \u201cCRMs\u201d as your source type for your contact spoke. (The <\/span><\/span>Hub<\/span><\/span> contains all synced Contacts from each spoke; a spoke can be a Public Folder, a user mailbox, the GAL or a CRM.).\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\"Select<\/li>\n
  3. Select \u201cSalesforce<\/a>\u201d as the contact spoke type.<\/span><\/span>\"Select<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Sign in with Salesforce to add your account to the <\/span>Hub, or<\/span> select an existing Salesforce account to two-way sync Salesforce contacts<\/a>.\"Sign<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. If you selected\u00a0\u201cSign in with Salesforce\u201d, you’ll be prompted to this screen\u00a0to enter your Salesforce username and password.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    6. Select „Allow“ to connect your Salesforce connect to the CiraApps Salesforce Connector.<\/span>\"Click<\/p>\n

    7. Type in a \u201cSpoke Name\u201d and click Next.\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

    8. Next type in the \u201cHub Name\u201d and click Create.\"\"<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    9. S<\/span><\/span>elect the option to add an Additional Spoke.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    10. To add\u00a0a <\/span>Public<\/span> folder\u00a0Contact List\u00a0to the Hub, <\/span>Click<\/span> on \u201cMicrosoft 365 In my tenant\u201d and select Public Folder.<\/span><\/p>\n

    11. Choose which \u201cPublic Folder\u201d and the contact list from the folder you <\/span>wish to Two-way Public Folder sync<\/a>.<\/span><\/span>\"Select<\/p>\n

    12. Type in a Spoke name and click create. \"Salesforce<\/p>\n

    13. Next, right click your spoke, and select \u201cSync Options\u201d to two-way sync Salesforce with a Public Folder. You may also click on view contacts to edit any contacts that were synced from your Salesforce into <\/span>CiraHub. \"Salesforce<\/span><\/p>\n

    14. Click on \u201cAllow Hub\u201d to create and sync items in this spoke. This will enable you to two-way sync Salesforce contacts<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>from the endpoint to the hub database and back.\"Click<\/p>\n

    15. Click the Advanced tab to set up contact filtering<\/a> settings for Salesforce<\/span> This would enable a user to synchronize and create Hub items based on specific criteria. <\/span>\u00a0\"Hubspot<\/span><\/p>\n

    16. You can also enable Field Mapping<\/a> to <\/span><\/span>create customized Hub fields for data in Salesforce and <\/span>CiraHub<\/span>.\u00a0\"Hubspot<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    17. Click on \u201cSync now\u201d to enable 2-way synchronization for the current spoke. You can also edit any synchronization options for each of your spokes below. \"Salesforce<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
