You want to two-way sync of contacts across your Microsoft 365 and Exchange mailboxes. Or perhaps you want to sync contacts across all users from a single shared contact list? If so, you’ve come to the right place. This article will outline how to two-way contact sync<\/span><\/span><\/a> between an Exchange Server and Microsoft 365 User Mailbox.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Two-Way Sync Contacts Between an Exchange Server Mailbox and an Microsoft 365 User Mailbox<\/span><\/h2>\n

  1. First, Log in to <\/span>CiraHub<\/span>. You will be taken to the onboarding wizard. (See figure below.) Next, select the object you want to sync. In this example the <\/span>contacts object<\/span> has been selected.<\/span><\/span> \"Hub<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Next, select Exchange Server as the source type for your contact spoke and select User Mailbox.\"Exchange<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Enter your Exchange Sever Connector<\/a> Login, <\/a>Password, URL, and Exchange Version. If you are running an Exchange Server Version dated 2016 or later, to two-way sync Exchange Server contacts<\/a>,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> you will need to always select Exchange 2016 in your Connector Settings.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\"Connector<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Wait for <\/span>CiraHub<\/span> to Validate your Exchange Server Settings <\/span>in order to<\/span> access your data.<\/span><\/span> \"Exchange<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Select the Mailbox Folder you want to sync.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>\"Select\u00a0the<\/li>\n
  6. Type in a Spoke Name and click Next. <\/span><\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>\"exchange<\/li>\n
  7. Type in a Hub Name and click Create to link your Exchange Server. \u00a0<\/span><\/span>\"exchange<\/li>\n
  8. Select the option to add an Additional Spoke.<\/span><\/span> \"add<\/li>\n
  9. To add a Contact List within a User Mailbox to the Hub, click<\/span>\u00a0\u201cMicrosoft 365 In my tenant\u201d and select User Mailbox. <\/span><\/span> \"User<\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Select which \u201cUser Mailbox\u201d you want to sync. <\/span><\/span>\"Select<\/li>\n
  11. Type in a Spoke name and click create. <\/span><\/span>\"mailbox<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. Next, right-click your spoke, and select \u201cSync Options\u201d. From there, you will be taken to a new window; click the box which says, \u201cAllow Hub to create and sync items in this spoke.\u201d This will users to two-way sync an Microsoft 365 user mailbox<\/a><\/span><\/span> between the Hub and your <\/span>spoke<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"Sync<\/li>\n
  13. Click on \u201cAllow Hub to create and sync items in this spoke\u201d. This will enable two-way synchronization from the endpoint to the hub database and back. Select Categorize Data in Spoke if you would like to filter out which items you would like to sync.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"allow<\/li>\n
  14. Click the Advanced tab to set up contact filtering <\/a>settings. This would enable a user to synchronize and create Hub items based on specific criteria. <\/span><\/span>\"Hubspot<\/li>\n
  15. Click on \u201cSync now\u201d to enable 2-way synchronization for the current spoke. You can also edit any synchronization options for each of your <\/span>spokes<\/span> below.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

    And that is it! You just set a two-way contact sync between an Exchange Server Mailbox and an Microsoft 365 User Mailbox. It was so easy.<\/p>\n
