For Apple users, two of the most commonly used calendar management tools are iCloud and iCal. Many users find themselves wondering how to ensure their calendars stay perfectly synchronized between the two. This article will guide you through the process of setting up a two-way sync between iCloud and iCal, ensuring that your calendars are always up-to-date, no matter which service you’re using. Whether you’re a busy professional juggling multiple devices or simply want to keep your digital life organized, this step-by-step guide will help you maintain consistent calendars across both platforms.<\/p>\n

Steps to Sync iCloud and iCal<\/h2>\n

1. Log in to <\/span>CiraHub<\/span>. It will take you to the onboarding wizard. (See figure below.) Next, select the object you want to sync. In this example, the „Calendars<\/span>“ object<\/span> has been selected.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2. Select \u201ciCloud\u201d as your source type for your calendar spoke, then click NEXT.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Click<\/p>\n

3. Enter your credentials to establish an iCloud Connection with CiraHub. Not that if it’s your first time logging in, you will have to create an app-specific password. Apple has a guide on how to generate and sign in using app-specific passwords<\/a>. Alternatively, you can use existing credentials by clicking on your profile on the right and click NEXT.<\/p>\n

4. Select the specific calendar you want to sync and click NEXT.<\/p>\n

5. Type in a name for your iCloud spoke and click NEXT.<\/p>\n

5. Type in a name for your Hub and click CREATE.<\/p>\n

6. On the CiraHub dashboard, click the + Spoke<\/strong> button to add another spoke.<\/p>\n

7. Select „iCal“ as the source type of your calendar spoke and click NEXT.<\/p>\n

\"Select<\/p>\n

8. On <\/span>the iCal URL page, you will have to enter in your iCalendar credentials and click <\/span>NEXT in order to two-way sync your iCal calendar.<\/a><\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> Only iCal links ending in the <\/span>.ics<\/span><\/b> format are valid. Always check for the file extension to allow you to two-way sync<\/a> Calendar items from that source on CiraHub. <\/span><\/p>\n

9. Name your iCal spoke.<\/p>\n

10. On the CiraHub dashboard, right click each spoke, and select „Sync Options.“<\/span><\/p>\n

11. Click on „Allow Hub to create and sync items in this spoke“, then click SAVE. This will enable two-way synchronization from the endpoint to the hub database and back.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
