That’s why in this article, we will show you the right steps to two-way sync an Exchange Server mailbox and an Microsoft 365 public folder contacts. We will use a multi-way sync tool called CiraHub. It multi-way syncs contacts<\/a> and calendars between various tools \u2014 but let’s focus on Microsoft in this article.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Two-Way Sync an Exchange Server Mailbox and an Microsoft 365 Public Folder<\/span><\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. First, Log in to <\/span>CiraHub<\/span>. You will be taken to the onboarding wizard. (See figure below.) Next, select the object you want to sync. In this example the <\/span>contacts object<\/span> has been selected.<\/span><\/span> \"Hub<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Click on \u201cExchange Server\u201d <\/a>as your source type for your contact spoke and select User Mailbox.\"Exchange<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Enter your Exchange Sever Connector<\/a> Login<\/a>, Password, URL, and Exchange Version. If you are running an Exchange Server Version dated 2016 or later, always select Exchange 2016 in your Connector Settings. <\/span><\/span>\u00a0\"Connector<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Wait for <\/span>CiraHub<\/span> to Validate your Exchange Server<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> Settings, which will allow you to two-way sync Exchange Server contacts<\/a><\/span><\/span> <\/span>and<\/span> access your data.<\/span><\/span> \"Exchange<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Select\u00a0the Mailbox Folder you would like to sync. <\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"Select\u00a0the<\/li>\n
  6. Type in a Spoke Name and click Next. <\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"exchange<\/li>\n
  7. Type in a Hub Name and click Create. <\/span><\/span>\"exchange<\/li>\n
  8. To two-way sync contacts between an Microsoft 365 public folder and an Exchange Server mailbox, select the option to add an Additional Spoke.<\/span><\/span> \"add<\/li>\n
  9. Select Microsoft 365 In my tenant and Select Public Folder<\/a><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/a>as the source type of your contact Spoke<\/span><\/span> portion of the wizard will appear. (See figure below.)<\/span><\/span> \"\"<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. In order to two-way sync Public Folder contacts<\/a><\/span><\/span> you will need to select a Public Folder to sync from.\"Select<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  11. Type in a Spoke Name and Click Create.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\"exchange<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. Next, right click your spoke, and select \u201cSync Options\u201d. From there you will be taken to a new window, click the box which says, \u201cAllow Hub to create and sync items in this spoke.\u201d This will enable 2-way synchronization between the Hub and your <\/span>spoke<\/span>.<\/span><\/span> \"Next,<\/span><\/li>\n
  13. Click on \u201cAllow Hub\u201d to create and sync items in this spoke. This will enable two-way synchronization from the endpoint to the Hub database and back.\"Click<\/span><\/li>\n
  14. Click the Advanced tab to set up contact filtering <\/a>settings. This would enable a user to synchronize and create Hub items based on specific criteria. <\/span><\/span>\"Hubspot<\/li>\n
  15. Click on \u201cSync now\u201d in order to enable 2-way synchronization for the current spoke to two-way sync between an Exchange Server Mailbox and a Microsoft 365 Public Folder. You can also edit any synchronization options for each of your spokes down below. \"Click<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
