Microsoft 365 contact data does not include a Last Name or Middle Initial field. Additionally, the Middle Initial field is automatically synchronized by Azure AD by default (dirsync).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

CiraSync has recently introduced a new feature for users who want to synchronize the Middle\/Initial Name field. This is done by mapping the initial field of the GAL<\/span> to the Middle\/Initial Name field. To begin synchronizing the Middle\/Initial Name field for your users, do the following:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Access the CiraSync control panel.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Click on the username in the upper right corner of the window.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Click on <\/span><\/span>Settings<\/span><\/span><\/strong> . The CiraSync settings will open.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Click on <\/span><\/span>contact fields<\/span><\/span><\/strong> . The <\/span><\/span>contact fields settings will open.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the window.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Check the attribute box Assign <\/span>GAL<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> initials <\/span>to middle name.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
