With teams operating across the city, having instant access to accurate, up-to-date contact information is mission-critical for officers and staff in the field.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"><strong>Challenges<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The Austin Police Department depended on physical contact books to access critical phone numbers. Officers were forced to flip through outdated lists, slowing emergency response times and creating unnecessary administrative burden. Keeping contacts current required constant manual updates, making the process both inefficient and unreliable. The transition eliminated the need for physical phonebooks entirely, ensuring every officer had instant access to accurate, in-date contact information in the field. Following a successful rollout with the Police Department, the city expanded CiraSync to its Emergency Management team, achieving a fully synced department with same-day deployment.
