This guide shows how to prepare your server for CiraSync On-Prem UCM to ensure the smoothest transition into using the product.<\/p>\n

Note<\/strong>: Skip these instructions for cloud only configuration (regarding Azure AD and syncing directly to Office 365 mailboxes). For such configuration, the system account will be used to start CiraSync On-Prem services and CiraSync On-Prem server Admin user to access CiraSync On-Prem Admin application. Additional role based users can be added using CiraSync On-Prem Admin Security configuration.\u00a0(edited)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Instructions<\/span><\/h2>\n

<\/span>Adding the Service Account to the CiraSync On-Prem Server<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Launch Computer Management. <\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Expand Local Users.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Select Groups<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Right-click Administrators > Add to Group. <\/strong>The Administrator Properties will open. (See figure below.) \"\"<\/li>\n
  5. Click Select User.\u00a0<\/strong> The Select <\/strong>User <\/strong>window will appear.<\/li>\n
  6. Add the service account that was created for CiraSync On-Prem in Enter the object names to select.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. Click the Check Names <\/strong>button > OK.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. Click Apply > OK.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/span>Setting the Service Account to \u201cLog on as a Service\u201d<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n

    1. Open the Run<\/strong> command prompt.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Input the secpol.msc <\/strong>command.<\/li>\n
    3. Click OK<\/strong>. The Local Security Policy window will open. (See figure below.) \"\"<\/li>\n
    4. Expand Local Policies > <\/strong>Select User Rights Assignment.<\/strong><\/li>\n
