If you are evaluating Zapier for Microsoft 365 contact or calendar synchronization, the first question is not whether Zapier can create or update an Outlook object. It can. The more important question is whether a collection of trigger-and-action workflows can reliably\u00a0maintain\u00a0directory and calendar state across many users,\u00a0mailboxes\u00a0and devices.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The problem is that you are using workflow automation to solve a synchronization problem.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Zapier’s model is\u00a0trigger\u00a0\u2192 action \u2192 optional\u00a0additional\u00a0actions, and it is genuinely good at that. It is the wrong tool if you need to keep hundreds or thousands of corporate contacts current, distribute shared contact lists and calendars to employee iPhones and Android devices, and manage everything centrally with a predictable source of truth. Those are synchronization requirements, not automation requirements.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
