~By Ella Nunez, Head of Customer Success, Cira Apps, Ltd.

Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the World Business Forum (WOBI) in Mexico City. This annual event, curated by WOBI and held in major cities across the globe, brings together thousands of passionate business minds to learn from and be inspired by world-renowned leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

The two-day forum was a whirlwind of insight and inspiration. From the moment I stepped into the vibrant event space, I could feel the energy and excitement as attendees connected and engaged with groundbreaking ideas. The forum truly lived up to its mission of creating transformational experiences that inspire people and organizations with actionable ideas.

WOBI: Insights from Visionary Speakers

The speaker lineup was truly impressive, featuring luminaries like Stephen M.R. Covey, who shared powerful insights on leading with trust and inspiring the best in people. He emphasized the importance of creating a culture of trust, treating people according to their potential rather than their behavior, and giving trust to earn trust.

Gary Hamel challenged us to rethink traditional bureaucratic structures and embrace a more human-centered «humanocracy» to drive innovation. He argued that bureaucracy often stifles creativity and that organizations need to empower employees to take risks and explore new ideas.

Luis Huete provided practical strategies for organizational health, highlighting the importance of aligning roles with strengths, escaping the «operational trap,» and cultivating a positive work culture.

Marcus Collins explored the power of cultural consumption in shaping consumer behavior, reminding us that consumption is deeply influenced by cultural factors and that brands need to understand and connect with customers on a cultural level.

The Power of Transformation

Throughout the event, I was struck by the recurring theme of transformation – not just on an organizational level, but from the inside out. In today’s fast-paced business landscape, embracing change, empowering people, and fostering a culture of innovation are critical to staying competitive.

These insights hit home for me as I reflected on my role leading the Customer Success Team at Cira Apps. Too often, we get caught up in the day-to-day operations and lose sight of the bigger picture. WOBI was a powerful reminder of the importance of focused strategy, clear vision, and empowering leadership. I realized that to drive meaningful change, we need to prioritize regular strategy sessions, set KPIs that align with our vision, and create a culture that empowers our team to innovate and grow.

Inspired by the event, I’m excited to start implementing gradual, but strategic changes to transform our team and company culture. This would include holding dedicated strategy sessions, setting KPIs aligned with our vision, engaging our loyal customers to deeply understand their needs, and creating an environment of growth, trust, and empowerment. My goal is for Cira Apps to be known as an incredible place to work that attracts and develops top talent. As Stephen M.R. Covey emphasized, when we create a culture of trust and inspiration, we can unleash people’s potential and achieve remarkable results.

Prioritizing People and Potential

WOBI reinforced that the most successful organizations put people and potential first. By prioritizing trust, transparency, and empowerment, we can ignite the passion, creativity, and innovation that will drive our company forward. The most successful organizations of the future will undoubtedly be those that unleash the initiative, creativity, and passion of their employees.

Bringing the WOBI Spirit to Cira Apps

Beyond the valuable sessions, WOBI provided an incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals from around the world. The event’s unique environment allowed me to form new relationships, share ideas, and gain perspectives that I’ll certainly be taking back to my work at Cira Apps.

I’m grateful for this transformative experience and the opportunity to bring these valuable insights back to our team at Cira Apps. As we navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead, we’ll keep the spirit of WOBI alive, remembering that when we focus on people, potential, and purpose, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.
