We’re excited to share the latest updates across both CiraSync and CiraHub—designed to give IT admins greater flexibility, tighter control, and more options when it comes to syncing contacts and calendars across platforms. Whether you’re managing guest users, integrating external data sources, or optimizing emergency communication workflows, these new features are here to simplify and strengthen your organization’s data sync strategy.

CiraSync Updates

Predefined “All Guests” List for Collections and GAL Tunnels

By popular demand, CiraSync now includes a predefined “All Guests” contact list that can be used in Collections and Global Address List (GAL) tunnels. This update eliminates the need to manually identify or tag guest accounts—saving admins valuable time and significantly reducing the risk of sync errors.

What Is a Guest Account?

A guest account is created for users outside your organization who need access to Microsoft 365 resources such as Teams, SharePoint, or Outlook. These identities are managed in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) and are labeled as “Guest” users. With this new predefined list, keeping guest contacts in sync has never been easier.

CiraSync Hub Connector : How to Create a Sync Tunnel from CiraHub on CiraSync

If a data source is not directly by CiraSync but is supported by CiraHub, you can still synchronize its data to user mailboxes by configuring CiraSync to perform a one-way sync from the CiraHub hub.

In addition to offering a wider range of sourcing options, the CiraHub-CiraSync connector also supports custom data mapping and advanced filtering capabilities.

CiraHub Updates

Filter Contacts by Organizational Unit (OU) in Google Workspace

CiraHub now supports contact filtering by Organizational Unit (OU) when syncing from Google Workspace. This feature gives you more granular control, allowing you to sync only the relevant contacts from specific departments, teams, or organizational branches.

Create and Filter by Contact Collections in the Hub

Admins can now create Contact Collections directly within a CiraHub Hub—and use them as filters during synchronization. Whether you’re tagging contacts by department, region, or role, these Collections make it easy to manage and target specific contact groups across systems with precision and flexibility.

New: CiraHub Everbridge Connector

Keep Emergency and Operational Contact Data Aligned in Real Time

CiraHub now integrates with Everbridge, a critical event management and mass notification platform used by enterprises and government organizations. With this integration, contact information synced through CiraSync can now be seamlessly made available to Everbridge, ensuring accurate and real-time communications during emergencies or critical events. This update is especially beneficial for organizations that rely on Everbridge to deliver urgent alerts to mobile devices, landlines, and email.

CiraHub – Spoke Options Improvements

We’ve added new controls to give administrators more flexibility when managing synchronization. You can now configure permissions for both owned and received items, including:

  • Owned Items: AllowDelete, AllowUpdate

  • Received Items: AllowDelete

These enhancements provide more granular control over how items are managed across connected platforms.

New!: CiraHub Connector in CiraSync

The CiraHub Connector bridges the gap between CiraHub and CiraSync, allowing you to synchronize data sources that CiraSync does not natively support.

For example, CiraSync may not directly support syncing from certain platforms like Gmail, Hotmail, or CRMs. However, since CiraHub supports a much wider range of sources, you can bring those sources into CiraHub and then feed that data into CiraSync. Once the data is available in CiraSync, it can be distributed to user mailboxes across your Microsoft 365 tenant—just like any other supported source.

In addition to expanding your sync options, the CiraHub Connector also supports custom data mapping and advanced filtering, so you can decide exactly what information flows into CiraSync.

When to Use the Connector

Use the CiraHub Connector in CiraSync when:

  • You need to sync from a data source CiraSync doesn’t directly support (e.g., Gmail contacts, some CRMs).
  • You want to take advantage of advanced filtering or mapping options before syncing to user mailboxes.

How to Use the CiraHub Connector in CiraSync

1. Enable the CiraHub Connector in CiraSync
Go to your CiraSync dashboard. When creating a new sync, select CiraHub as your data source. You will see a list of hubs registered to the same tenant as your CiraSync account.

2. You will see a list of hubs registered to the same tenant as your CiraSync account. Select the hub you created in CiraHub (for example, Contact Demo). This hub now acts as the source for your CiraSync sync tunnel.

3. Assign Target Users
Choose which users in your tenant should receive the synced contacts or data and click next.

4. Specify contact list options

Configure  filtering and data mapping settings to control exactly which records are included in the sync and click save. This helps ensure that only the relevant contacts and fields are pushed to your users.

5. Complete the Sync

Click Sync Now to finalize the setup. Once the sync runs, data from unsupported sources will flow through CiraHub into CiraSync and automatically be delivered to your users’ mailboxes.
