If I sync the root contacts folder, will all the subfolders sync as well?
No, choosing to sync the root contact folder will not sync its subfolders. Instead, you can create multiple contact lists in CiraSync using these subfolders as the source. Then, you would sync these contact lists to the root contact folder. How do I sync Distribution Groups with CiraSync?
You can sync a Distribution Group by selecting the group as the source and target when you are creating a sync configuration. You probably have the same contact in your phone’s default Contact folder or in a folder not managed by CiraSync.
