CiraSync PE is a free and limited-capability version of the CiraSync Enterprise Edition. Use PE to see how quickly CiraSync automates the syncing of the Microsoft 365 Global Address List (GAL), Public Folder contacts, and shared calendars to a single business smartphone. How can I purchase CiraSync Personal Edition?
CiraSync Personal Edition (PE) is free, and you do not need to sign a contract or provide a credit card to use the solution. In CiraSync PE, there is a limit of 15 users per tenant with a sync limit of 1,000 contacts or appointments. NOTE: PE does not include the functionality to sync contact photos. For more than 15 users and the capacity to sync an unlimited number of contacts and appointments , you will need the CiraSync Enterprise Edition.
Why is Personal Edition free? How can you make money? Will it always be free?
CiraSync Personal Edition is designed to demonstrate the power of automated Microsoft 365 Global Address List (GAL), Public Folder contacts, and shared calendar sync to smartphones. IT professionals can use it as a stepping stone to Enterprise Edition. Our revenue comes from CiraSync Enterprise Edition subscriptions.
As of now, the plan is to continue the Personal Edition as a free solution.
Do you provide customer support for Personal Edition?
No, we do not provide customer support for Personal Edition: you will need to upgrade to the CiraSync Enterprise Edition for technical support. Do check out the CiraSync Support page and the Technical FAQ page for answers to many commonly asked technical questions.
What is the difference between Personal Edition and Enterprise Edition?
CiraSync Personal Edition is a free and limited-capability version of the Enterprise Edition and can be managed from the central dashboard for up to 5 users. Only a single contact, Public Folder, or calendar source can automatically sync once a week for a maximum of 1,000 items. Note that Personal Edition does not include the functionality to sync contact photos.
CiraSync Enterprise Edition allows centralized management for an entire Microsoft 365 tenant with Roles-Based Administration and the ability to setup automated syncing of multiple contact lists and shared calendars. Sync frequency is multiple times per day. The solution scales to an unlimited number of users and an unlimited number of items. The solution includes many advanced features, such as contact photo sync, AutoComplete, Advanced Folder Purge, Reading an Internet Calendar, etc. Free technical support is available 7 days a week.

Can CiraSync Personal Edition sync Salesforce contacts to smartphones?
Unfortunately, the CiraSync Salesforce connector is only available as an add-on for CiraSync Enterprise Edition users. For more information, please see the CiraSync Enterprise Edition FAQ.
Should I upgrade to Enterprise Edition?
CiraSync Enterprise Edition is intended for teams larger than 5 individuals and scales to an unlimited number of users. The solution provides centralized management with Roles-Based Administration, automated syncing of contact lists, photos, and shared calendars multiple times per day, and many advanced features (not available in the Personal Edition). Free technical support is available 7 days a week.

Do you provide customer references?

As a SaaS solution, CiraSync integrates tightly with Microsoft Azure, utilizing the Azure Consent Framework. If you are a subscriber, your data is kept in the Microsoft Cloud.

How do you secure customer passwords?
CiraSync does not store or request passwords, and no code exists to request or store customer passwords. All authentication is done via the Azure consent process. After the user grants consent to the Azure CiraSync application, all interaction with tenant data is done using the token. All customer data is passed on the Microsoft Azure network–not the internet. All backups stay in the Azure cloud; logs and any caching used for performance purposes are purged after 30 days.
CiraSync interfaces with Azure AD using the Graph API, and access to Microsoft 365 Exchange is via Exchange Web Services.

Does CiraSync support Hosted Exchange (not Microsoft 365)?
No support presently exists for third-party Exchange hosting providers. You could request your service provider to install and support the itrezzo Unified Contact Manager, which has similar capabilities.
How can I revoke access for CiraSync?
When you granted consent to CiraSync, it had access to your Exchange mailbox. You can revoke the access by following the instructions in this support article: Removing CiraSync Personal Edition User Consent from Microsoft 365.
After you revoke access, CiraSync will automatically disable scheduled events and within 30 days, CiraApps Ltd will purge all customer information.
How can I change the name of the Outlook contacts folder where my contacts are synced to?
Personal Edition always syncs to a subfolder labeled CiraSync. Changing the subfolder name is a feature available in CiraSync Enterprise Edition.
If you have an Android smartphone or if you are using MS Outlook app on an iOS or Android device, it’s possible that the mail client will not sync subfolders. Therefore, the CiraSync subfolder will not be visible. In this situation, you will need to upgrade to CiraSync Enterprise Edition and use the CiraSync mobile app with Native Sync enabled to receive contacts to the phone’s native contact application. How can I sync from more than one contact source in Personal Edition?
CiraSync Personal Edition can only sync a single contact source and the automated sync is performed once a week. For automated syncs of multiple contact sources, shared calendars, and notes, you will need to upgrade to the CiraSync Enterprise Edition. My GAL is very large. Can I sync less than the entire GAL?
Realistically, if your GAL is greater than 15,000 mailboxes, it will be unwieldy to sync it to your smartphone. We recommend selecting specific distribution groups as the source of your contact list. Note that CiraSync Personal Edition is limited to syncing 1,000 items.

How can I increase the sync frequency of Personal Edition?
The Personal Edition solution automatically syncs once per week over the weekend. For multiple automated syncs per day, you will need the CiraSync Enterprise Edition.
