Auto License Settings simplifies the process of managing licenses for your users. It ensures smoother synchronization of contacts and calendars across your organization, reducing manual administrative tasks and the potential for oversight. CiraSync automatically assigns licenses to eligible users, ensuring that they always have access to the most up-to-date information.

To activate Auto-License Settings in CiraSync, follow these steps:

1. Log into your CiraSync account and navigate to the main dashboard.

2. Find the “Auto-License” panel in the bottom right corner of the dashboard and toggle the switch next to “Enabled” to turn on auto-licensing.

Note: For efficient management of your CiraSync auto-licensing, we recommend setting up user groups strategically. The best practice is to use the same group or collection for auto-licensing as you do for your Contact List target users. This alignment ensures consistency across your sync processes and simplifies administration. It’s strongly advised to avoid adding users individually, as this can lead to confusion and management difficulties down the line. By organizing users into groups or collections, you maintain a clear structure that’s easy to update and manage as your organization evolves. You can also “Remove synced data from unlicensed” users by toggling the switch in the Auto-License section. This feature is useful for maintaining data security and compliance, especially when dealing with departing employees or changes in user roles.
